Meet Our Advisory Board


David Cormier, DO

Dr. David “DJ” Cormier joins our board sharing his belief as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine that the whole person needs to be seen, that medicine goes beyond a diagnosis. Earning his medical degree from University of New England, he has done his residency in internal medicine at Boston University-Roger Williams Medical Center and a speciality of physical medicine and rehabilitation at Columbia and Cornell University-New York Presbyterian Hospital. He then sub specialized in sports medicine through Massachusetts General Hospital and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. He previously served as Head Team Physician for the University of New Hampshire as well as the Northeast Passage Sled Hockey Team. Currently David is a sports medicine physician at Care New England Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.

When David is not treating patients,in the Spring he can be seen on the finish line at the Boston Marathon cheering and treating Para Athletes as the Para Athlete Head Physician. His caring and calm demeanor make all runners feel at ease. David believes that adaptive sports promotes inclusion in athletic sports. He is champion for inclusive practice on and off the playing or running fields and believes that everyone deserves to be treated as a person first. David,his wife and two children reside in Massachusetts.




Joe Martini

Joe joins our board with a wealth of experience in Sales,Marketing and Branding. Having served in positions of VP of Network Integration and Communications at Spaulding Rehabilitation , VP of Marketing Communications at Hebrew Senior Life as well as VP of a start up company Brickstone Senior Living. Having a passion for accessible technology Joe is certified In Accessibility Core Competencies(CPACC) and assumed a leadership role serving as Director of Perkins Solutions where he consulted to businesses on assertive technology devices/ products as well as providing training and evaluation. His ability to negotiate new business partnerships as well as implementing product marketing strategy and website accessibility have been utilized both nationally and internationally. He currently serves as a Strategic Accounts Manger for Care Scout, a division of Genworth Financial .

In Joe’s free time he is mentor at the Boys Club for underserved youth , passionate about adaptive sports and yields a enormous about of passion on advocating in and out of business settings for people with disabilities. He has also served as a mentor for new business start ups. Joe and his husband reside outside Boston.



Julie Baker

Julie Baker joins our board with a eclectic writing background in journalism, public relations, marketing, personal narrative essays, and storytelling. As a person with two invisible disabilities , she is committed to leveling the playing field for all employees, patients, customers, and citizens of the world. She is currently working on a memoir that’s a collection of humorous essays about Multiple Sclerosis and life. She believes that every person and every business has a story to tell and every voice matters.
